Welcome to CACCA, the Umbrella for the Chicago Area Camera Clubs
The objective of CACCA is the development of fellowship among member Clubs and promotion of photographic interests and accomplishments.
We offer programs at our monthly meetings on areas of photographic interest as well as competitions both for individual members and member clubs in a variety of categories. We also sponsor a biannual photography school (CAPS) to provide a weekend of classroom learning and hands on workshops on many areas of photographic interest.
CACCA has been in existence since 1936. Today there are approximately 35 clubs in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area that are a part of CACCA. Find a club near you.
Board of Directors and Delegates meetings and Large and Small Print Competitions are held at the Northwest Covenant Church, 300 N Elmhurst Ave., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 (Map to CACCA) on the second Saturday of the month in November, January, March and May. Board meeting begins at 9:00 am and delegate meeting begins at 10:00 am.

“Becoming a Better Judge for the CACCA Community”
Presented by: Bob Benson and Bill Brown
As a photographic group, we are always looking for ways to improve the judging experience and achieve consistency in our scores. The purpose of this presentation is twofold: first, to get judges to appreciate and use the range of scores on a consistent basis, and second, to obtain more judges from those that are considering helping the CACCA community. All members are welcome, even if you just wish to get a better understanding of the judging process. We hope that all current judges can participate. (Judges will be marked as having attended the training program.)
The presentation will cover judging flaws and myths, concepts for a good image, current scoring guidelines, and reviewing various images, including some with a wide range of scores.

All members are encouraged to attend. Even if you do not plan on judging, this program will help you to select your images to enter into competitions and will give you insight of what is behind the scores you receive.
